The morning was young and light softly twinkled in through the east facing windows of the kitchen. The sun cast golden shadows in the room and many in the house were asleep, resting peacefully without a care in the world, but they were not all. With a cup of coffee, Aven Kenchi at the kitchen table, looking out the ever lightening sky. She had been up most of the night, wrestles with her beast. It was not often that the alpha female was so easily unnerved, so easily excited. There were so many emotions floating around her head.
Her blond hair was pulled up and away from her face, though she had yet to put her colored contacts in for the day and it was unlikely that she even would. She didn't plan on leaving the house that day and it was a rule that she didn't hide from her own kind. But this anxiety, that she hid form her clan. It was true that she and Rath had been dating for quite some time, she had even welcomed him into her clan. Aven trusted him. But it was her latest move that seemed to send tingles up her spine. She was excited to have him move into her home, but would he hold up to the pressures of being an alpha? They were mates now and she did trust him, it was the fear that her careful perfected world would begin to shatter. She was playing a chess game with her life, she was hoping that this wasn't the move that lead to checkmate.

Rath had been looking forward to this move for a long time. It would be a huge step up from a studio apartment near the plant that he worked at and the idea was intriguing. Also the company would be a whole lot better now that he was finally moving in with Aven. When she finally asked him to move in, it was one of the rare times that a smile was actually crossed his face. He really was genuinely excited to see where this next new adventure would go. Looking down at his direction, he slowly pulled up to the enormous manor.
He was dumbfounded at first look. She had said it was big but he had no idea what it would look like in person. He was not much of a man to live extravagantly, as shown by his 12 year old civic with the big ding in the side. As he pulled to a stop at one of the many open spots, Rath gawked at the house again before slowly getting out of the car. He slowly unloaded his two suitcase, still staring at the manor. As he took the steps up to the door, the unfamiliar feeling of butterflies filled his stomach as he rung the doorbell and waited for his girl to answer the door.

trying to calm herself and take her mind off the situation, Aven had gotten some papers from her classes out of her bag. They were about the writings oh Shan Yu, a strange and twisted man fro long ago. Some of the papers were good, quality work while other...kept her busy for a while. She has already gone through three cups of coffee and just as many papers when the sun had fully risen, greeting the day in full. Rath was soon to be there and the house was beginning to stir with life. The patter of feet here, the sound of a shower turning on over there. These were the sounds of her home, and soon the be Rath's home. She was dwelling over this thought when the doorbell rang and made her jump.
Wiping spilled coffee off the table that had been caused by her jump, she got up and went to the door. Pausing before it, she took a few deeps breaths and opened it. The door was old, heavy and ornate though Aven pulled it open as if it weighed nothing. With a smile, she greeted her mate. "Welcome...come in."[b/] she said with a nervous laugh, stepping aside to allow him through. He seemed dazed to her and she wondered why. "Is there something wrong...?" [/i] she questioned aloud. "No, there is nothing wrong at all," still staring up at he house. "But I do think that your description of this place we a bit lacking." He had never lived anywhere this big in his whole life. Rath knew that he would easily get used to this place. He quickly lugged his bags in and set them down in the main foyer before beginning to admire the inside of the massive house. One thing that he did notice is that as soon as he saw Aven, the butterflies in his stomach stopped there fluttering.
After he had finished his initial scan of the house, Rath finally brought his eyes back to his mate. As normal, without any effort, natural beauty radiated off of her and captivated him. Rath let out one of his rarely seen smiles that were becoming more and more frequent. She has always been able to get one out of him no matter how mad or upset he was. He didn't mind at all, it helped him look more friendly since he was a giant to many.
"Well, I guess I'm home," he said, smile still plastered on his face. He opened his arms wide, waiting for her to come to him and greet him properly. "I will also need a grand tour so I don't get lost in here," he added in as a joke.
